As our Creative Director (NY), you will lead, manage and nurture the NY creative team. You will be hands-on with the design work, actively participating across all US projects to help create the very best work on behalf of our clients. With support from the Global Leadership Team, you will help grow the Creative Team and create incredible opportunities for the expansion and success of the NY Studio.


This role forms part of the Executive Creative team, consisting of the CCO/Founder and Global Creative Director, both based in London. Managed by the CCO/Founder, this role will open the studio up to incredible creative opportunities, and ensure we deliver and oversee “Best in Class” creative output from the studio.

Winning new projects

  • Leading major client presentations and pitches to win new projects
  • Understanding commercial constraints and defining the scope with clients and the internal team
  • Maintaining and nurturing client relationships with a view to winning repeat business
  • Quoting the creative hours required to deliver a project 


Ensuring Best in Class creative output

  • Ensuring maximum productivity and driving inspiration within the creative team
  • Ensuring the resourced team has the required skills to carry out the desired work
  • Leading project reviews, challenging the team to produce their best work within the quoted hours 
  • Overseeing and optimising the design workflow
  • Ensuring the consistency and excellence of design documentation and presentations
  • Offering creative troubleshooting


Engaging with our cultural conversation

  • Ensuring the studio is engaging with our big questions
  • Challenging our role within the industry and wider creative culture
  • Protecting our cultural purpose to make art accessible


You must have...

  • At least two years’ experience in a design leadership position 
  • An expert knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
  • An excellent ability to connect with others and get the best out of them creatively
  • A willingness to travel for projects and spend time in London studio 
  • The ability to implement ideas strategically, independently and efficiently
  • Great attention to detail
  • Management experience and a supportive nature
  • Experience in speaking at relevant conferences and events
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to meet deadlines under pressure
  • The ability to work from our DUMBO studio at least three times a week
